WHAT DO YOU GET?
BASIC knowledge
You’ll learn about the drawing materials I use personally and how to use them to get the best results. Some are very individual but I’ll give you different examples.
LIVE DRAWING/CHAT
Once every month I’ll do a live drawing/chat. It might be something you’ve voted on or I’ll show steps on something I’m working on. It will vary each month.
Q&A'S
This is where you get to ask all our burning questions about drawing and everything surrounding it. We’ll do simple ones and Live Q&A’s.
DRAWING TECHNIQUES
I’ll teach you techniques to help you improve your drawings regardless of your level and how to use them for different subjects. Most will be taught from portraits but we’ll also go into botanical illustration. Techniques can be applied to any other subject that interest you.
ASSIGNMENTS
Each month you’ll get assignment in the newsletter. It’s completely up to you if you want to finish them all. You can share them on instagram, tag @ro.marialyng and I’ll select a few drawings/processes to share in our group.
+ PRIVATE lessons
Yearly subscribers will be able to book 1 online mini lesson (1/2 hour)/year for free. This will help you reach a new level since I’ll be able to guide you directly on a given project.
Private lessons can be bought on the side by anyone.
€80/1 hour, €150/2 hours, 2+ hours for €65/hour.
WHERE DO WE BEGIN?
One of the keys to realistic pencil drawing is understanding your tools and how to use them. So this is where we begin. No matter if you’re a beginner or if you’re experienced in drawing I suggest you follow these first lessons since they’re the foundation of what I’ll teach moving forward.
You’ll learn about the materials I use, how to use them and what to use them for. How to start your drawing, get the right proportions and learning to see shapes and their relation to each other. And then we give our drawing form by adding light and shadow. From here on we embark on a journey together with our main focus being portraits and some botanical drawings to illustrate how to use the techniques you’ve learned on any given subject that interest you.
