Maria Lyng runs a creative design studio on a small island called Samsø in the heart of Denmark.
She is a self-taught Danish illustrator with a BA in Visual Communication and experience in working for agencies and running her own company with clients from around the world.
For 5 years she ran her studio from Paris and her eye for aesthetics lead her to client projects ranging from branding for established international companies to packaging, illustrations and overall visual identities for small start-up businesses.
Her work has been featured both online and in print such as Gestalten’s Los Logos books.
2020 was a difficult year for everyone due to Covid-19 so Maria created drawing classes under the name “RO.” (meaning “peace/calmness” in Danish) and offering Meditative Drawing Retreats on Samsø, so people can learn how to use drawing as a form of meditation and stress-relief to use in their daily life.
